Entering the legal industry in 2016 as a settlement clerk on the Gold coast managing between 30-50 settlements on my own each day as well as preparing documents for the days’ work, collecting bank cheques, pick up and drop offs all over South East Queensland region. Also preparing and lodging at the Magistrates Court and or at Department of Natural Resources, plus all general administration work over the course of two years before starting at Aylward Game Solicitors.
I was inspired by fellow Solicitors to pursue my career as a lawyer and commenced a Bachelor of Law in 2017 at CQUniversity as an external student.
This gives me the freedom to have hands on experience in the industry while studying. Since starting the degree, Aylward Game Solicitors have given me the opportunity to step into my career as a Legal Secretary and provide the hands on experience so that I am prepared once admitted as a Solicitor.
When I am not at work I am either at the gym or hanging from the roof doing Circus Arts (silks, Lyra and Trapeze). Any other spare time I find when I am not studying is for playing with my dog or spending time with my family and friends.
To become an all-rounder in the legal industry. Overtime I would like to do my JP Course and C.Dec but for now I take each day as it comes growing and learning the skills and techniques to be a great lawyer. A quote from Vincent Van Gough I refer to when people ask how do you do it all?
“If you hear a voice within you say ‘You cannot paint’, then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced”.
I truly believe you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
